UnlikePeople Circa 2013…

I remember working on this project like it was yesterday. I remember working on this project like it was yesterday. I would wake up and call my brother @dceasedtbc to slide thru with @abstract_ninjaa and Konkwest #TBC

Day sessions consisted of smoke outs while listening to all the records I had dug thru or found on YouTube the night before (discovered our love for Latin and Soul jazz thru these sessions) We’d pick out what we liked and I’d get on the Korg Kontroler hooked up to Reason 3.0 and get to slicing wit Recycle ♻️.

From its conception, we wanted to cover new creative ground, and truly immerse ourselves into a world of UnlikePeople. The more unorthodox the process, the better, and I feel it shines thru. It gave us the courage to go outside of our comfort zone sonically and spiritually.

I didn’t realize it at the time but these would become some of my best #TBC memories in that 35th Ave house. Just young 20 somethings full of creative energy
